The Naval Club is a more than centenary institution born in the city of Valparaiso a April 5, 1885 and founded by a group of visionary seafarers eager for cultural activities and social exchange in a thriving and pioneering city in Chile.
Originally, under the name "Naval Circle"The Club carried out an interesting and fruitful work of development and technical-professional diffusion as well as custodian of the naval traditions. Subsequently, since 1918, with a broader vision of the Club, this anchorage of symbolic ship, has become not only an important social and cultural center, with a brand new headquarters that has hosted generations of officers of our Navy, but also the repository of a valuable Historical and Cultural HeritageThe result of acquisitions or various donations of great artistic and symbolic value.
Today, the Naval Club The purpose of this project is to establish a common social home, based on the traditions, values and doctrines of the Chilean Navy, providing its members with the necessary means and a place for meeting and recreation. In order to achieve this purpose and to better organize the very rich cultural heritage obtained over the years, its rooms and halls were named after heroes, events or outstanding figures of the Chilean Navy.
